Yuri Kytasty holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Kiev, Ukraine. He was principal cellist with the Kiev Chamber Orchestra for twenty years. Mr. Kytasty was also a member of both the State Symphony Orchestra, and the Opera and Ballet Theater Orchestra. He's now residing in San Diego and currently plays in the orchestra of Lyric Opera San Diego. He has also played with the Orchestra of Baja California, and has been principal cellist with the Mesa and San Diego State University Symphonies. He is active as a freelance chamber musician in San Diego.
